Fuel prices witnessed a fall across all major cities today. This move came after OPEC agreed to boost oil production following concerns raised by China, India and the US over rising fuel prices.
In a breather to consumers across major metros, fuel prices experienced a sizeable cut today. In the national capital, petrol price was reduced by 14 paise and diesel by 10 paise. Diesel price in Delhi today is Rs. 67.38 down from yesterday’s Rs. 67.48. The petrol price in Delhi has also been slashed to Rs. 75.55.

Why the cut?
This development came after the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) decided to boost oil production by an extra 1 million barrels per day (bpd) to cater to the rising demand of fuel across the world. Last week the OPEC agreed to raise oil production after concerns raised over rising fuel prices by consumers across India, China and the US.
