Krishna Grameena Bank (KGB) is a Regional Rural Bank established on 01-12-1978 & is sponsored by State Bank of India.
The area of operation of the Bank comprises three districts viz., Gulbarga, Bidar and Yadgir. The present Branch network is 119, of which 94 branches functioning in rural area, catering to the needs of farming community, rural artisans and other rural mass.
Purpose: For rearing of milch animals as an allied activity to agriculture this loan can be utilized. It supplements the agriculture income. It will provide full employment opportunity to family members and labours.
Eligibility: Farmers having irrigated land to grow green grass and dry fodder required to feed the animals can obtain this loan.
Quantum of loan: The quantum of loan is based on the unit cost of NABARD.
Repayment: The repayment has to be done in 60 monthly installments including 3 months grace period.
Security: For loans up to Rs.50,000/- hypothecation of animals and their offsprings created by banks finance is required as security. For loans above Rs.50,000/- along with Hypothecation animals and their offsprings created by bank finance, equitable / registered mortgage on landed property also needs to be submitted as security.
