German luxury car maker Porsche, has introduced its second-generation Cayenne, costing between Rs 65.82-lakh (Rs 6.58 million) to Rs 1.27-crore (Rs 12.7 million) in India (ex-showroom).
Porsche, which introduced its 5 five models: Cayenne, Cayenne S, Caynne Turbo, Cayenne Diesel and Cayenne S Hybrid in the Indian market has already obtained bookings for all its models.
The company’s ex-showroom price for the 5 models is: Cayenne (Rs 65.82 lakh), Cayenne S (Rs 78.62 lakh), Caynne Turbo (Rs 1.27 crore), Cayenne Diesel (Rs 59.22 lakh) and Cayenne S Hybrid (Rs 75.46 lakh).
Cayenne S Hybrid is very advanced parallel full hybrid drive offering fuel consumption of mere 8.2 litres/100 kilometers with CO2 emissions of only 193 g/km. The Cayenne S Hybrid merges the operation of an 8-cylinder with the thrift of a 6-cylinder operating on far less fuel.
As Porsche believes in ‘intelligent performance’, all Cayenne cars provide more power on less fuel, higher efficiency, and lower CO2 emissions, as the previous generation, but fuel consumption falls by up to 23%.
The car has new Tiptronic S 8-speed automatic transmission with Auto-Start-Stop and a large expanse of gear ratios, heat management on the engine and transmission cooling circuit, on-board network recuperation, changeable engine cut-off and smart lightweight design.
Cayenne S is significantly lighter by 180 kilos.
