Bank of Maharashtra MAO Style to Recover Loan

According to a recent press report, Bank of Maharashtra has taken steps to make borrowers repay their dues. The bank has adapted a new style called “MAO” which means ‘Many against one’. The MAO comprises of staff and official, the role of the MAO is to persuade the borrowers to repay their loans.

Reports said that no other Public Sector Banks has not come forward to take such initiative expect Bank of Maharashtra. It also said that the customers will normally pay the loan dues once the MAO approaches them as they will not want to indulge themselves in any sort of critical situations.

The Members of the team constitutes two different branches namely micro asset recovery cells and asset recovery cells. Mr. A.S. Bhattacharya, Chairman and Managing Director told the press that the team has succeeded in their recovery efforts.

Reports also said that during the first half of the financial year, the bank had recovered about Rs. 400 core which was mainly due to the efforts taken by twenty micro asset recovery cells and five asset recovery cells. The bank is expected to get their loans repaid with the help of its MAO team.
