HDFC says teaser rates will remain

Looking at the industry inclination, teaser rates will continue to be around, said the chairman of HDFC Deepak Parekh.

Parekh said, “It is for sure that teaser rates are going to stay permanently”.

He said that deposit rates may be increased by 0.25 to 0.50% points by October and at the same time there would increase in lending rates.

Parekh said that liquidity may be under pressure in the present period and October, but would relax by November.
