A recent press report said that Country’s largest private lender ICICI Bank has planned recruit up to 6,000 people this fiscal to help its business growth and expansion.
Ms. Chanda Kochhar, Managing Director and chief Executive of the bank said that the bank’s business was growing between 18 to 20 per cent and the bank has also launched new branches. She said that the bank is likely hire between five to six thousand people in its workforce.
Ms. Kochhar said that most of the recruitments will be at the entry level and will be done either directly or through institutes training graduates in banking and insurance where the bank has tie-ups.
Reports said that Ms. Kochhar, when asked about the Banking Ombudsmen’s recent suggestion to ban pre-payments charges on floating rate loans and how ICICI Bank will be gearing up for it, said, it was a recommendatory discussion and should wait for the emergence of clarifications related to it. The bank has recently driven the attention of many borrowers by launching ICICI teaser home loan scheme.
