Deutsche Bank is ready to introduce a credit card that will let users redeem points or flight miles, collected by booking flight tickets on the card, against airline tickets. the credit card is called as WorldMiles credit card and is available in 2 models: Platinum and Signature.
To utilize the service, card holders have to log in to their accounts which are created automatically as soon as the card is issued on myworldmiles.com and purchase tickets from any airline (international, domestic, full service and low cost) from the portal.
Along with ‘FlightMiles’ collected on tickets bought on the portal, you also get ‘SpendMiles’ for booking the tickets using the card. You can also redeem these SpendMiles, against flight tickets. Purchases other than air travel made on the card also earn ‘SpendMiles’. For the Signature model, each Rs 100 spent will earn you 3 SpendMiles and 2 for Platinum. These miles can be accumulated along with the points according to the airlines’ frequent flyer programmes.
The joining fee for the Platinum model is Rs 5,000 and Rs 7,500 for the Signature card. Moreover the annual maintenance fees is Rs 1,500 and Rs 2,500, respectively. Both the card and the programme are running on a trial basis and the full-fledged launch would be done very soon.
