The Meghalaya Co-operative Apex Bank Limited – Transport / Vehicle Loans

The Meghalaya Cooperative Apex Bank Limited incorporated in 1971 has also been launching new and innovative schemes for the benefit of the people and the un-employed youths of the state. With a view to help the educated unemployed youths, the Bank had opened two “Counseling Centers”, one at Shillong and the other at Tura in West Garo Hills and also extending credit support to the youths for their self employment on easy terms and required guidelines etc. The vehicle and transport loans are different from the car loan offered by other banks.

Purpose                      – To offer loan to Transport Societies and educated unemployed youths for creation of self employment generation and extension of easy mobility to the people of the State

Eligibility –           Transport Societies and educated unemployed youths for creation of self employment

Rate of Interest         – The bank offers transport or vehicle loans to the Transport Societies and educated unemployed youths at reasonable interest rates. The interest rates are as follows

1 For loans up to & inclusive of Rs. 50,000/ 11.00 %
2 For loans over Rs.50,000/- to Rs. 1.00 lakhs 11.50 %
3 For loans over Rs. 1.00 lakhs to Rs. 2.00 lakhs 12.50 %
4 For loans over Rs. 2.00 lakhs 13.50 %
