Just because you’ve been treated to a farewell party by your former employers, doesn’t mean you cannot continue working for them. You know the ropes and have years of invaluable experience on your side.

Ask them if they can offer you a part-time role. Chances are they’ll be thrilled to continue having you onboard in some capacity or the other. You can continue in an advisory role or opt to perform tasks that don’t take up too much of your time and don’t need to adhere to strict deadlines.
