Another round of test to be held for bank officers' posts

By | August 13, 2011

A recent press report said that the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection has decided to conduct a supplementary examination on November 13. The announcement of supplementary exam is good news for about two lakh job aspirants who missed the first Common Written Examination for recruitment of probationary officers and management trainees in 19 public sector banks held in September. Report said that those who could not take the earlier examination can do so now.

Mr. M. Balachandran, Institute Director said that in spite of the clear instructions, some candidates had come to the venues on September 18 with call letters but without photographs affixed, original fee receipts and identity proof. He said such candidates were not allowed to write the exam.

He said that candidates are expected to have the prescribed documents and because the CWE was conducted for the first time, the institutions have decided to conduct a supplementary exam as a one-time measure. Candidates wishing to take the supplementary test should register again on the institute’s Web site between October 5 and October 12.
