Yippee! BankBazaar has added another award to its kitty by bagging the Digital Marketer of the year in the Personal Finance and Investments category at the Digital Marketers’ Awards, 2018. The event hosted by moneycontrol.com, India’s leading financial and business media platform, and IAMAI (Internet and Mobile Association for India), was held on the 5th December at Taj Lands End, Mumbai.
This year, the Digital Marketers’ Awards (DMA) focussed solely on recognising and honouring brand marketers who have exponentially outdone their peers with outstanding advancements. The awards were spread across categories such as banking, personal finance and investments, FMCG, healthcare, automobiles, retail, IT, real estate, insurance, travel and digital business.

The event started with a panel discussion on Digital transformation through new innovations: A complete roadmap. After the heated panel discussion, Himanshu Vyapak, the Deputy CEO of Reliance Nippon Life Asset Management Limited (RNLAM) delivered the keynote address. Post this, the awards ceremony kickstarted.
The Winners’ List
BankBazaar’s CEO, Adhil Shetty, was declared the winner in the Personal Finance and Investments category. The other finalists in this category were Balaji Vaidyanathan of Franklin Templeton Investments and Punit Dharamsi of the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI).
Citibank’s Nikhil Rastogi won in the banking category and Cashify’s Shruti Gupta won in the digital business category. Other winners were Vakul Agarwal (Grofers) in the retail category, Saurabh Garg (NoBroker Technologies) in the Real Estate category, Anurag Purohit (Larsen Toubro Infotech) in the IT/ITES category, Chandramohan Mehra (Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance & General Insurance) in the Insurance category, Anshul Sharma (Apollo Hospitals) in the Healthcare category, Amit Tiwari (Havells India Ltd.) in the FMCG & Consumer Durables category, and Puneet Anand (Hyundai Motor India) in the Automobiles category.

Apart from the winners across the categories mentioned earlier, the event saw two special awards too. Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan was declared the Best Digital Personality of the year and Reliance Retail’s (Digital) Manoj Jain won the Most Popular Marketer of the year.
The Digital Marketers’ Awards (DMA) is a platform that aims to recognise and reward the big shots of the digital marketing industry across categories who’ve made exceptional achievements in comparison to their peers. It is an invitation-only event.
