As per a recent press report, Central Bank is planning to increase its presence in Vizag and Kakinada regions as there are a lot of new industries are coming up between these ports.
Mr. M.V. Tanksale said that three more branches are to be opened in the region. Further he also stated that the Bank is focusing towards the technology and is also planning to recruit on a large scale. He also stated that the Bank is third position in terms of branch network and sixth in terms of business volume.
Mr.Tanksale also said that the Bank has its presence in 90 per cent of the Districts in the country and the remaining districts will be covered soon. He said that the bank has customized products for its customers. The bank will also give education loan for vocational courses. Its loan portfolio includes home loan, personal loan, vehicle loan, business loans etc. Further the bank has tied up with the National Skill Development Council and finances the units of new entrepreneurs.
Further Mr.Tanksale said that the Bank has plans to increase the number of Credit cards from 45,000 to 1, 00,000. He further said that 800 more ATMs will be added this financial year. In a meeting held with the All-India Central Bank Employees’ Federation Mr.Tanksale said the employees that the bank should focus on retail banking with the number of branches available.
