From The HR Desk – April 2017 Round-up

By | May 5, 2017

Come April, we welcomed a new financial year with great enthusiasm and drive to achieve a lot more than the past year. But it’s never only work at BankBazaar. We believe in the power of fun, play, and positive reinforcement.

So, we kick-started a new financial year with a bang. Here’s all that we did.

Celebrating Hard Work!

BankBazaar loves to recognise and reward employees who do an exceptional job. During the Townhall at the Ambattur and Nungambakkam offices, our champions were lauded for their amazing contributions to the Maha March sale. Way to go, guys!

Draw And Tell

Yes, we are talking about Pictionary. A Pictionary competition was organised at the Ambattur and Nungambakkam offices, which saw more than 50 people participate at each branch. All the guesswork, excitement and hullabaloo over the game worked like a charm to help people relax and unwind. This is just what our heroes needed after tirelessly driving the Maha March Sale to success.

Bone Deep

Women generally have a lower bone density than men, putting them at a greater risk of Osteoporosis. Most women don’t even realise the onset of this disease till it’s too late and a bone cracks. So, a bone mineral density check-up was organised for the women employees working at the Ambattur office. Women’s Day or not, we always care for our super-talented women folk. We want to ensure that our superwomen stay as strong as the work they do.

Paint A Picture

We are a fintech company, but that doesn’t mean we don’t appreciate a Picasso or a Rembrandt. A palm painting competition was organised in the Nungambakkam office on 28th April where over 30 participants took part to paint their team tree. Even the most expensive TV set would look dull before the work of our artists.

Sing Is King (Queen too)

Singing is known to have therapeutic effects on people (maybe not on those who have to listen). And if singing is done in a group it’s just some kickass fun. An Antakshari competition was organised in the Nungambakkam office on 13th April and it was nothing less than melodious!

Cricket Fever

The BankBazaar Cricket League (BCL) is on!

After six teams from the Nungambakkam office competed fiercely against each other last month, April was time for seven teams from the Ambattur office to showcase their sportsmanship.  Kudos to Inshuu Warriors- the Insurance Customer Service team for winning the Ambattur round.

Team Building Activities

Ambattur had a fun day on 20th April as they played games like minefield, save your balloon, and free standing paper tower, as part of their team building activities.

Gladdens Home

BBians from the Nungambakkam office conducted a free dental health check-up for kids at Gladden Children Home in Chennai. The children were taught the basic do’s and don’ts of dental hygiene in a work-play mix format.
