Here are some precautions to follow to keep yourselves safe:
- If you stay in the coastal areas, please evacuate your houses as soon as possible
- Avoid driving as far as possible
- Stock up your house with basic necessities like grocery items and other amenities
- If you have medicine-dependent people at home, rush to your nearest chemist shop and stock up on their medications.
- Avoid stepping out just for fun
- Since there are high chances of water contamination, ensure that you get drinking water from safe places.
- Turn the gas knob off to avoid the chances of leakage
- Ensure that your children and pets are indoors and safe
- Keep the windows and doors shut to avoid rains and strong winds
- Ensure that you park your vehicles in secure places. Avoid parking them under trees or electric poles.
- Do not panic. Be courageous and don’t shy away from helping others as long as you are safe as well.
Stay safe, folks!
