By | September 7, 2010

While cars such as Honda City and Honda Civic have been favourites and threw up good figures, there has been a sea change in the way Honda operates. It will introduce diesel cars by 2012 by 2012 and expects good sales due to cheap car loans.

This was necessitated by the spate of new car launches that seriously threaten the monopoly of the Honda models.

Cars such as Volkswagen Vento and Fiat Linea are few of the major threats to the monopoly of Honda City, one of Honda’s largest selling models.

Also, up to now, there was no diesel car introduced by Honda, which is one of its major drawbacks.

But this is set to change as Honda Siel Cars India will introduce 2 diesel engine models by 2012.

According to experts Honda would launch the diesel engine to Indian market after its introduction in Europe and would be fixed into cars such as City, Jazz and the new small car under construction by Honda.

The engine is new 2.0 litre CRDI diesel model.
