Hyderabad and Bengaluru are the 3rd most preferred places for realty

Hyderabad and Bengaluru are the 3rd most chosen real estate investment spots in 2010, nationally, as per online real estate website, Makaan.com.

The real estate portal said that it held a nationwide online survey called Realty Trends 2010 for metros and Tier II cities throughout the country, which was participated by more than 4,800 prospective property buyers.

As per the survey, 34% of the property buyers wanted to own a house in Delhi followed by Mumbai with 28% prospective buyers. Bengaluru and Hyderabad interested 11% property seekers nationally.

The survey also showed that the realty sector in 2010 will be driven by end user.

Due to the recession and varying property prices, property seekers avoided buying a property last year, but with recovering economy and slightly steady property rates, buyers are looking to enter the market this year.

Most home buyers, want he home for their personal use. This comprised 67% of the public surveyed. Only 23% were looking to buy a house for a long-term investment. Just 10% of the surveyed public were short-term investors.

The study was run on the portal from February 15 to  March 5, 2010. Most of the survey   respondents fell in the age group of 26- 35 years.
