A recent press report said that the customers of ING Vysya Life Insurance are given an option to make their policy renewal payments at any of the 26 KarnatakaOne centres across Mysore, Bellary, Shimoga, Mangalore, Tumkur, Belgaum, Gulbarga and Davangere at no extra charge.
According to reports, KarnatakaOne is the integrated citizen service project of the Government of Karnataka, which provides services to the citizens for and on behalf of various government departments, utilities and other agencies on the basis of a public-private partnership through a one-stop-shop concept.
Reports said that the Private insurer ING Vysya Life Insurance in association with the Government of Karnataka has launched the service and has made it available at all centres on all days, including holidays.
Reports also said that customers can collect details such as the premium amount due by simply providing their policy number. The customers can make their policy renewal payment either by cash, cheque and demand draft. The option of payment through debit card and credit card payment (at no card charges) is likely to be available at the earliest.
Nowadays most of the banks have started offering insurance products to their customers along with their loan products. Some banks also offer free accidental insurance for their car loan borrowers.
