A recent press report said that Indian Overseas Bank has planned to come up with yet another branch in Bangkok, Thailand. Mr. M. Narendra chairman and managing director of the bank told the press about the bank’s plan to open another branches.
Mr. Narendra, regarding the issue said that the bank has applied to the RBI for one more branch in Bangkok. He said that the authorities of Thailand have agreed to the launch of IOB’s new branch in the country. This will be the second branch for IOB in Thailand. Mr. Narendra said that the bank has plans to set its foot in Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). He said that the bank is likely to be in talks with Dubai Financial Services Authority
Reports said that the bank is also planning to upgrade its representative office in Vietnam. We are the only Indian bank to have a branch presence in Bangkok. Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) is a major bank based in Chennai. It has around 2018 domestic branches and six branches overseas. It offers a wide range of service to its customers. Its loan portfolio includes home loan, personal loan, vehicle loan, gold loans, mortgage loans etc.
