Janata Educational Loan Scheme

Janata Sahakari Bank Ltd.,Pune was established on 18th October 1949 by people committed to social cause in Pune city. RBI included the bank in second schedule and from 1st September 1988. Janata Sahakari Bank Ltd., Pune is functional as Scheduled Co-Operative Bank and accepts deposits from Government and Semi-Government corporations. Similarly Government & Semi-Government corporations accept Bank’s drafts.

Purpose: This is a personal loan that finances higher education in India or abroad.

Eligibility: Any earning student or guardian / parents can avail this loan.

Rate of Interest:

Amount of Loan Rate of Interest
Up to Rs 2 Lac 12.50 %
Above Rs 2 Lac 13.00 %

Quantum of loan: The total amount of loan granted will be 80 % of total educational cost subject to a maximum of Rs. 5 lakhs for education in India and Rs. 20 lakhs for education outside India.

Margin: Only 80% of the total coat of loan is granted as loan.

Security & Guarantee: Two guarantors are required. Any tangible security up to 100 % of the loan amount could be required in case of loans above Rs. 50,000/-

Repayment: Repayment can be done in a maximum of5 Years through equated monthly installments (EMI).
