LVB has introduced Visa Debit Gold Card

A recent press report said that Lakshmi Vilas Bank has introduced Visa Debit Gold Card for its premier customers.

Mr. Somasundaram, Chief Executive of the bank said that the bank has issued around 3.75 lakh cards. He said that the bank is expecting at least a-third of its card holders to opt for the Visa Debit Gold Card. The card has a transaction limit of Rs 50,000 on the ATM and Rs 1, 00,000 on the Point of Sales terminal. Reports also said that the card holder will get a free personal accident insurance policy worth Rs 2, 00,000.

The bank also launched three new services namely Point of Sales, Depository Participant and Services and application supported by blocked amount enabling customers to get all services under one roof.

Mr. Somasundaram said that the three new services introduced by the bank are to add to the expanding list of new initiatives taken by the bank. He said that the introduction of Application Supported by Blocked Amount (ASBA) facility would support the depository participant operations which would help strengthen the CASA portfolio of the bank. The bank offers home loan, personal loan, vehicle loan, education loan, business loan etc.
