Nano to be sold without booking, expects good sales due to cheap car loans

World’s cheapest car, Tata Nano, will be sold without advance booking from August 2010, a top company officer said. The company expects good sales due to cheap Car Loans.

Manoj Arora, senior manager, Tata Motors said, “From this August-September, customers will be able to walk into our showroom and drive out in a Nano,”.

He sai the establishment of production unit at Sanand (Gujarat) will aid the company deliver cars quicker.

He added, “Sananad facility can manufacture 2,50,000 units per annum”.

Arora said the company has ‘almost finished’ the promise made at the time of the initial lot of booking.

He said it is hard to guess what kind of customers opt for Nano since being the first time. Many already own car, he said. Arora  added, “We will be now targeting the first-time car buyers during our campaign”.

He said the car has shown to be best to the liking of the customers and so it is doing very nicely in the market.
