In order to honour the offerings of PSUs, the 2nd India Pride Award managed by Dainik Bhaskar group concentrated on the contributions of PSUs.
The awards were handed out by finance minister, Pranab Mukherjee. The awards were divided in 3 sections viz central awards, state awards and special awards. There were 2 kinds of awards: gold and silver.
Praising the work of Dainik Bhaskar group, Mukherjee stated, “Let me begin by complimenting the Dainik Bhaskar Group for having instituted this award last year as a tribute to the contributions made by the PSUs for building our country. I congratulate the award winning organisations, their chief executives and working forces.”
SBI Chairman, O P Bhatt was given the lifetime achievement award in the central award section. Bhatt has concentrated on financial inclusion as the main requirement of the hour.
