Panasonic set to enter into the Indian car market

Leading consumer electronics company Panasonic has announced its intentions of establishing an internal division, Panasonic Automotive Systems India, to concentrate on the Indian automobile sector.

In a statement released by Panasonic, the company said, “With its head office in Gurgaon in Haryana and a sales office in Bangalore in Karnataka, PASI specialises in sales and support of in-car equipment and systems…,”.

The new division has goals of establishing a sales structure, which will help the company in offering quick response to the Indian automobile market, due to rapid decision-making and sales tactic, fulfilling the domestic required, it said further. The company will be helped by easy availability of car loans.

As a part of its worldwide business strategy to boost its presence in emerging economies, the company will attempt to benefit from the fast-growing Indian market for car electronics, it said. Right from its inception in January 2003, the division has increased its presence abroad by setting up operations in North America, Europe, China and Thailand.
