Reviving aviation sector-Impact on consumer!

By | March 25, 2013

The Indian aviation space has been in troubled waters, for quite some time now, and the situation doesn’t seem to be getting any better. The primary issue has been with the policies that govern operations in the sector, which have traditionally been shortsighted. A long term solution to sort out the recurring problems of the sector needs to be reached, and a new effective policy aiming at sustainable growth is what the government has come up with. The Civil Aviation ministry has come up with a white paper, for the framing of a policy that ensures the sustainable growth of the aviation space.

The policy, if framed and implemented in time, will provide the much needed push to the aviation space, which has been fishing in troubled waters, ever since the state carrier and a private airline, claimed severe shortage of funds. The policy would directly impact the employees of the space, who have been suffering in the recent past, in the form of irregular payments. It would also entail some implications for the masses, as the standard of services provided by the sector, would grow steadily and enable the consumer to avail much more reliable services.

The ministry has posted a consultation paper on its website, which has invited comments from the stakeholder. Based on the comments from the stakeholders, a comprehensive policy, capable of generating sustainable and orderly growth would be formed, which would be the mainstay of the revival plans for the aviation sector.

The rethink and the resultant strategy, has been received well by the audience, which realizes the positive implications of the move. The market prices of various stocks have climbed as a result of the national acceptance, and the trend may continue, if the ministry comes out with a concrete policy in the nick of time. Whatever be the outcome, the intention of the government, has finally brought about a change in the outlook of the industry, which promises better services for the consumer in the near future.
