Tata Motors will introduce Aria a hybrid of a multi-utility and sports utility vehicle within a month. Opened at the Auto Expo and famous as a four-wheeler developed for Indians by Indian engineers, Aria will vie with Toyota Innova and M&M’s Xylo.
Sources say that the car is anticipated to cost around Rs 10 lakh. A representative of Tata Motors said that the Aria would be introduced within a month and the company is eager to capitalize on the festive season
Tata Motors intends to introduce numerous features in the car to compete with utility vehicles like Innova, Scorpio, Bolero and Xylo.
The main thing to observe is if Tata Motors will price Aria more than its rivals like Xylo or Innova as the rivalry is going to be very stiff. Tata Motors says that as it is going to be rich in features, they will actually announce the price on the launch date.
The Aria has a 2.2-litre common rail diesel engine and mixes the functionality and luxury of a mid-range MPV with the all-terrain guarantee and luxury of an SUV. Safety features comprise of 6 airbags and Electronic Stability Program (ESP), provided by an Indian manufacturer for the 1st time.
