Cauvery Kalpatharu Grameena Bank is one of the Regional Rural Banks established under Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976. The bank offers a variety of loan products such as personal loan, agricultural loan, vehicle loan etc.
Purpose – To encourage cultivation of Horticulture Crops like coconut, mango, pomegranate, grapes, pepper, coffee, amla, areca nut, betel vine and other horticulture crops
Eligibility – All farmers having own land suitable for cultivation of the selected crop
Quantum of Loan – As per unit cost fixed by NABARD
Disbursement – The Disbursement will be made in stages over the years till the plants starts yielding
Repayment – Repayable in Half Yearly or Yearly installments and period of advance is extendable up to 15 years based on the age at which the plantation starts economic yield. Until such time the gestation period for repayment of loan is allowed. However, interest has to be serviced during the gestation period
Interest Rate – As applicable to Agricultural Term loan
Other Conditions – There has to be a bore well with sufficient yield or any other perennial source, Income sources for sustenance and servicing of interest during the gestation period, Soil and water test report for the suitability to be produced at the time of sanction and assured availability of marketing to be ensured
