Hi Akshay, Your income is just one of the factors that affect your eligibility. Other factors such as your employer, employment tenure, your Credit Score, etc. also play a role. It’s quite possible that one of these factors may be the reason behind your ineligibility for a Credit Card even though your net salary is INR 17,000. Cheers, Team BankBazaar

I’ve a credit score of 823. I’m checking my eligibility since a year now but it always says “Oops! Sorry! We can’t find any offers based on the info you’ve given. If you’d like to change some details. Click here. ” Does it have any problem with me applying for a credit card or I’m doing something wrong?
Hi Shivam,
Banks look at several things besides your Credit Score to determine your eligibility for a Credit Card. Check if your loan repayment history is good and you don’t have multiple applications for a Credit Card in the recent past. Also, if you don’t have a Credit Card already, you might not be eligible to apply. In this case, you can get a Credit Card against your FD.

I’m getting in a reputed company and getting 17,800 salary by bank transfer also getting 3 times bonus in a year. also never bounce any cheque or amount. have payed my all dues on time. in my office many staff using credit card. credit score is showing 846. but when i’m applying for credit card. its showing eligible. why what is the matter i dont know.
Hi Vikram Kumar,
Having a good Credit Score is amazing, but the final decision of granting a Credit Card or a loan lies with the bank. Also, Credit Cards have a minimum income criteria. Most banks require you to have a monthly salary of at least Rs. 20,000. Please check with the bank regarding the eligibility criteria before applying. If nothing works, you could get a Credit Card against your Fixed Deposit. Once you start using the Credit Card, banks will offer you better cards.
