Ford might introduce hatchback in India shortly

Pictures of the 2011 Ford Fiesta hatchback testing near Chennai have hit the Internet.

This has given rise to a buzz among car lovers who now say that the car may just be ready to hit the Indian market.

Fiesta hatchback was introduced in the US some time back and the car has been receiving good reviews.

As the Indian car market is dominated  by hatchback, introducing this Fiesta here is not sensible.

The 2011 Ford Fiesta introduced overseas has a 1.6-liter, 4-cylinder unit with capacity of producing 120 horsepower at 6,350 rpm and 112 pound-feet of torque at 5,000 rpm.

It can perform the 0-100kmph sprint in around 9 seconds.
