Home loan lender SBI joins hands with Western Union for a special money transfer service

Home loan lender SBI plans to join hands with Western Union Services India Pvt Ltd in order to offer a new service. This was stated by a senior official of Western Union.

Anil Kapur, MD said, “It will be a new service in India and SBI would be the first to offer…we plan to launch it in March”.

Currently, Western Union does not offer any direct credit facility to bank accounts.

The company has also tied up with Bandhan Microfinance which is going to work as the company’s sub agent to connect 800 of its branches for transfer of money from abroad by the end of this year.
