Krishna Grameena Bank (KGB) is a Regional Rural Bank established on 01-12-1978 & is sponsored by State Bank of India.
The area of operation of the Bank comprises three districts viz., Gulbarga, Bidar and Yadgir. The present Branch network is 119, of which 94 branches functioning in rural area, catering to the needs of farming community, rural artisans and other rural mass.
Purpose: To promote and encourage farmers to grow different kinds of fruits crops in available infrastructure this loan scheme was introduced.
Eligibility: All the farmers having irrigation source are eligible for this personal loan.
Quantum of loan: The quantum of loan is as decide based on the NABARD unit costs.
Margin: 10% to 20% of the project cost may be the margin for the loan.
Repayment: Repayment has to be done in 10 to 15 years depending upon hypothecation of fruit crops grown and the return on the same.
Security: For loans up to Rs.50,000/- hypothecation of moveable assets is required as security. For loans above Rs.50,000/- along with Hypothecation of moveable assets created by bank finance, equitable / registered mortgage on landed property also needs to be submitted as security.
