Dear Friends, I am of the opinion that the Ministry of Finance should ban Credit Card Business in India, as this has been directly as well as indirectly effecting the economy of the individual as well as that of the country. There has been lots of complaints which are genuine in nature on the functioning of the Credit Card Companies, they just suck the blood out of you leaving high and dry. They then harrass you and threaten you when you do not accept their ways of accounting principles. Everyone signs the Credit Card form without reading it properly and then become the victim. I agree that it is fine when you are using it and when everything is fine but when they start targetting you with initially charging Late Payment Fees and a Service Tax on that Late Payment Fee, you are at the starting point of getting victimised, in case you do not absorb they graduate you to the extent of Over Limit Charge and then put Service Tax too on that Over Limit Fees, stripping you naked without money and hampering your mental faculties as well the status in the society by dragging you to court of sending goons to threaten you or their recovery agent barging inside you home or office and stiffning your neck and chocking you to death. The Credit Card companies are the worst business houses in this world who do not have any business ethics and principles nor they follow any procedure or policies as they are required to. The Credit Card should not be the your death, I have seen myself how people are being harrassed and tortured and stripped of their reputation in the public life. I swear that it is high time that there is an end to this credit card business some one who is more powerful and do not yeild to this business lobby should stop and close this business all over.

My dear friend, Its individual's choice how he/she spending while having credit card in pocket. No one should be carried away with the credit card under assumption that credit card money belongs to them and they can spend as and when like. Before spending think whether one's monetory condition allows them to spend levishly, if so then do it, otherwise don't. Plan and spend as pocket permit don't over stretch one's budget. Due to poor planning why to curse credit card companies? In modern times our old tradition should be followed with keeping credit card in pocket, of saving money and not over spending. With credit card in your pocket and money in bank, spend wisely, if lost then CPP is there to protect your interest.

Totally disagree with you, Mr. Gupta. You want to ban Credit Card Business in India and want to start bartar system instead. If you dont like credit cards dont use them. Dont try to impose your 500 BC mentally on the whole country.

The burden of annual fee is itself a liability . Now the cards should have
automatic protection plan inbuilt why the extra 995/- annual fee.If people
cannot afford what should do to protect the cards

CPP is offering service like any insurance company. To insurance company we pay premium for renewal of policy and keep our life covered under policy period, whereas in case of CPP they too are taking risk like insurance company. So why to go gaga over extra Rs.995/-? Either pay and get secured or God forbids if credit card lost and not reported in time then be penalised for its usage by thieves.

Most of the add-ons to the credit card from the credit card company comes through the telephone call – some offers of personal loan with benefits to the credit card holders, life time free credit card etc. Many a times when they are asked to send these offers in writng they just back out.To confirm the correctness they just say that in confirmation of the offer one will get a call from his/her senior.Every offer from credit card company must come in writing, which rarely happens. They might have a record of whart the user says as in the guise of trainng these are recorded and the user is left without any record of the conversation entered.Huge amount of transperancy needs to be built in credit card operation if the services has to come to a satisfactory level.

About CPP came to know today through HSBC and got impressed with its offerred services. Also when read an article appeared in MSN site, I am of opinion that there is no harm in trying with CPP and get ourselves protected from untimely loss/theft of credit card. At very lesser amount of Rs.995/-, customer is getting good protection.

Mr. J. Sharma- this is not a forum for marketing the services. You can go to some other place and in case you are an employee of this small-time concern or some such small time entrepreneur who has taken the franchise for this, you can get onto the streets, instead of answering all posts.
I guess even websites ought to have a board like what we have outside our homes " Salesmen not allowed'.

Its individual choice to interpretate meaning of one's saying. I had opined my view since me too having credit cards and have shared my views through website. If some one thinks its salesmanship then its his/her decision, who am I to stop them? Let us face facts of life and not to hide ourselves in ignorance. If some good topic is there for everyones benefit then why not share views on that.
