Wash Your Clothes In The Shower
Here’s a great way to save money on your electricity bills. No more will you have to worry about stuffing your clothes in the washing machine while it hogs power like a seasoned politician. Just gather all your filthy shirts, jeans and whatever other costumes you roam around in at night and jump into the shower with them.
Give them a thorough wash along with yourself and the shampoo or soap you use should be enough to get rid of all the sweat and odour remnants. Hopefully you haven’t stained or soiled your clothes too badly, or you could end up with a bit of scrubbing to do. But, hey, that’s one way to get some exercise.
This way you save on electricity AND detergent. As they say in laundromat circles – save, rinse, repeat.

Rummage Through Bargain Bins
So what if you don’t wear branded shirts and trousers like all your friends? After all, it really doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things since we all end up in the same dirt anyway. So, with that in mind, the next time you go out shopping for clothes, forget all the fancy stores and hit some of the more unassuming outlets that sell clothes at throwaway rates.
Factory outlets and smaller stores are great places to sift through tons of clothing that can be bought for a pittance. If you’re fashion conscious, there’s every chance you could find something that looks pretty gnarly at probably 1/10th the price of a similar looking outfit at a branded store.
However, if you couldn’t care less even if you walked down the street in a potato sack, then bargain bin shopping can save you a ton of money. Now stop staring at that sack of potatoes in your kitchen.

Come Up With Innovative Excuses
If you’re scratching your head about how this can save you money, well here’s how it works. Draw up a list of innovative but believable excuses to tell your friends the next time they call you out for a night on the town.
You’re probably already an expert at coming up with excuses for skipping work, citing all kinds of tropical diseases, so you should be pretty adept at this as well. We all know how persuasive friends can be, especially when they’re in the mood to party.
And heading out into the city for a night of wining and dining can certainly set you back a pretty penny. So, if you have friends that can’t seem to take no for an answer, come up with some interesting stories on why you’d love to hang out with them but just can’t.
Some handy ones are a rodent infestation in your apartment, a caved-in ceiling due to poor plumbing, and your cat clawing your eye out and using it as a toy. Ok, that last one seems a bit too far-fetched, but you never know.
