Wainganga Krishna Gramin Bank – Kisan Credit Card Scheme

Wainaganga Krishna Gramin Bank came in to existence on 15th December 2008 through amalgamation of Wainganga Kshetriya Gramin Bank, Chandrapur, Solapur Gramin Bank, Solapur and Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg Gramin Bank, Ratnagiri.

The authorized capital of the Bank is Rs. 500.00 lakhs and the paid up capital is Rs. 400.00 lakhs. Government of India, Government of Maharashtra and Bank of India has contributed 50 %, 15%, and 35% of the share capital respectively.

Purpose: This is a type of crop loan offered by the bank.

Eligibility: Kisan Credit Cards are issued to the farmers for the crops in their fields. This is a personal loan just like any other general crop loan.

Quantum of Loan: Initially the limits are to be decided and cards are to be issued for the said limits. The bank has a set list of crops according to which the quantum of the loan is decided. Interest subsidy is available for the said crop loans from the Central government for loan up to Rs. 3 lakhs.
