From The HR Desk – February 2017 Round-up

From The HR Desk

We’re already done with one-sixth of 2017. Wow! But, at BankBazaar, we are not complaining. We’ve had a fun start to the year (for those of you who missed January’s updates, you can check them out here) and the fun continued through February too. Wondering what we did last month?

Here’s a quick round-up of everything that happened across BB offices in February:

BB Bangalore Jumps On The Fun Bandwagon

Finally!

After all, why should Chennai and Mumbai have all the fun? BB Bangalore folks took part in a few intense rounds of foosball until two among them were crowned the ultimate champions.

Although the preliminary rounds started in January, the competition was put on hold because they couldn’t find the ball.

Health Is Wealth

A famous person once said, “A healthy lifestyle is 80% diet and 20% exercise.”

The fine men and women of BB Nungambakkam participated in a ‘Healthy Cooking’ competition. The dishes were judged on their health quotient, taste, innovation, and presentation. The competition was a means to promote healthy eating among the employees.

Nikhita S from the HR team said, “This had to be the yummiest event in the history of BB. Everyone was having fun – cooking, serving, eating! And since all the dishes were healthy, we could indulge without any feeling of guilt.”

Tender Coconuts To Beat The Heat

Chennai is one of the hottest cities in the country. The scorching heat literally sucks the life out of people. Don’t you agree, Chennai wale?

In an effort to help employees cope with the heat, our Ambattur office organised a ‘Refresh Day’ treating all employees to fresh tender coconut water. Tender coconut water is the best way to combat the blazing heat as it keeps your body cool. Tender coconut water date, anyone?

Kya Aap Close-up Karte Hain?

Cavities, yellow teeth, bad breath – is bad oral hygiene ruining your self-confidence? Poor oral health not only lowers your self-confidence, it also signifies serious health issues. That’s why you should get a dental check-up at least once a year.

For our employees’ sake, a dental camp was organised at the Nungambakkam office. More than 30 employees participated in the camp to avail of the free consultation and dental advice.

Friday Happy Hours

February was indeed a fun month for Nungambakkam and Mumbai folks.

The Chennai folks participated in a slow bike race and a quiz competition, while the Mumbai fellows engaged in a balloon volleyball tournament.

We’d also like to congratulate two of our champs, Abhinav Kaul and Romil Rungta from BB Mumbai, for participating in the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon and successfully running a half marathon (21 km). Good job, boys!
