A recent press report said that Karur Vysya Bank has added 10 branches and 50 ATMs to its network, to take its total branch network to 386 and ATMs to 583. The bank is aiming to have a network of 400 branches and 600 ATMs by end-September.
Reports said that Mr. R. Gopalan, Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs and Ministry of Finance inaugurated the branch. The others include a branch at New Chandapur (Karnataka), at Vanasthalipuram in Hyderabad and Vuyyuru (Andhra Pradesh), at Saidapet in Chennai and Gugai, Melur and Panruti near Salem in Tamil Nadu.
Karur Vysya Bank started in the year 1916 in Karur.The venture started with a seed capital of Rs. 1.00 lakh and has grown into a leading financial institution that offers the wide gamut of financial services to millions of its customers under one roof.
