A recent press report said that Union Bank of India has a new Executive Director, Mr. Suresh Kumar Jain. Mr. Jain has come in the place of Mr. S. C. Kalia, who has now superannuated.
Mr. Jain is the former General Manager of Bank of India and has also worked in the London and Hong Kong branches of Bank of India. Reports said that he is a Gold Medalist in College and University with B.Sc (Hons.) & M.A.(Economics). Shri Jain has been a Professional Banker for over 33 years, having worked in various capacities across the country and abroad with specialization in Credit and Foreign Exchange.
Reports also said that he had worked with Bank of India for more than 33 years. Mr. Jain has a good experience in both domestic as well as international banking.
Union Bank is one of the largest state-owned banks in the country. The began its international expansion in 2007 with the opening of representative offices in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and Shanghai, Peoples Republic of China, Hong Kong, Sydney, Australia etc. Its lending portfolio includes home loan, personal loans, vehicle loan, education loan, business loan etc.
