Thomas Cook and Sarawat Bank tie-up for international money transfer

Thomas Cook (India), the biggest incorporated travel and travel related financial services firm has entered into an agreement with Saraswat Co-operative Bank in order to offer its international money transfer services from all of Saraswat bank’s branches.

With this association, all the clients of Saraswat bank can use the MoneyGram service of Thomas Cook. The total business of Saraswat Bank is much more than Rs. 22, 000 crore. It has an integrated network of 200 branches that are distributed throughout Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Delhi.

Madhavan Menon, MD, Thomas Cook India said, “Our tie-up with Saraswat Bank has aided our mission to reach our growing network spread over the country”.

MoneyGram has around 22,000 agents situated throughout India. The money transfer service provided by Thomas Cook has been authorized by the RBI. The company has been offering its services in India for the last 8 years.
