Uttar Bihar Gramin Bank – Mini Dairy Loan

In 1976, the central government amalgamated Uttar Bihar Kshetriya Gramin Bank and Kosi Kshetriya Gramin Bank (transferor regional rural banks) sponsored by Central Bank of India in the state of Bihar into a single regional rural bank which began to be called as Uttar Bihar Gramin Bank with its head office at Muzaffarpur.

Uttar Bihar Gramin Bank sponsored by Central Bank of India, is one of the largest regional rural bank in India in terms of branch network, staff strength and area.

 

Purpose: To meet increasing demand of milk as well as to generate employment opportunity, this loan scheme has been launched. This loan also finances supporting infrastructure facility of marketing, veterinary aid, artificial insemination, etc. that are the requisites of the scheme.

Eligibility: Agriculture based beneficiaries having availability of green fodders and concentrates are eligible for this personal loan.

 

Quantum of loan: Minimum five units of cross breed cows with milk yield of 10-11 litres per day is provided by the bank finance.

 

Margin: The margin for the loan varies from 5% to 25% of the project cost depending on the project which is financed.

 

Repayment: The maximum period for the repayment of this personal loan is 60 monthly installments.
