Vijaya Bank has planned to organize a home utsav

A recent press report said that public sector lender Vijaya Bank had organized a home loan in order to benefit its customer base in getting home loans.

Reports said that the carnival termed as ‘Home Utsav 2011’ also came as an event meant to mark the 80th anniversary of the south based lender. The event received participation from about 12 builders. Ms. Subhalakshmi Panse, Executive Director of the bank, said that the carnival happens to be the first of its kind to be held in Chennai. She also said that Utsav showcases and brings together builders of repute and provides one stop solution. The Bank has also proposed to extend in-principle home loan sanctions to prospective home buyers.

Vijaya Bank is a medium sized bank with its presence across India. It was founded on October 23, 1931. It has the highest number of branches in its home state Karnataka. The bank has been giving greater drive towards technological upgradation of its operations. It has network of 1200 branches, 49 extension Counters and 551 ATMs, 789 centers, covering 100 % of Bank’s business. The bank has entered several new areas such as credit card, merchant banking, hire purchase and leasing, and electronic remittance services.
