Vijaya Bank – Housing Loan Mela

A recent press report said that Vijaya Bank, RACPC, regional office, Hubli, recently held a housing loan mela at the KIMS campus, Vidyanagar.

The bank’s Regional Manager, Mr. B. A. Tata, who inaugurated the mela. He said that the bank has declared the year 2011-12 as “Year of retail business including priority sector” and has planned to increase its retail loan assets by 30 per cent from the present level. The mela was managed by RACPC headed by Mr. Harish K. Shetty, Chief Manager who told the press that there were lots of enquiries on housing loans products.

Earlier in a press release the bank’s Assistant General Manager Mr.K.Jayarama Shetty said that the bank offers the advantages of transparency to borrowers and there would be no hidden costs and the borrowers can confidently avail of loans. Reports said that the bank is expecting to reach its target in housing loan portfolio during the current financial year in spite of the hike in its interest rates. Mr. K Jayarama Shetty said that the bank has already disbursed over Rs 120 crore to 3,300 loan accounts as on March, 2011.

The “Vijaya home loan” is offered by the bank for the construction or acquisition of house or flat as well as for repair or renovation of the existing house or flat.
