Czech luxury car manufacturer Skoda has introduced a new model of its sedan Superb which will be more than Rs 1.5 lakh less than the current automatic model.
The company launched the Skoda Superb 1.8 TSI (Petrol) with manual transmission (MT) costing Rs 18.28 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The inclusion of the 1.8 TSI Manual Transmission to the present range will provide a bigger choice to their customers and also let the company launch its latest technologies in the Indian market.
Ashutosh Dixit, Skoda Auto India Senior General Manager (Sales and Marketing) said, “The addition of the 1.8 TSI manual transmission to the current range will offer a wider choice to our customers and also allow us to introduce our newest technologies into the Indian market”.
The current Skoda Superb petrol variant with the 1.8 TSI automatic transmission is available at Rs 19.81 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Superb, introduced in March 2009, is also available with a 2 litre diesel common rail engine and a 3.6 litre FSI 4×4 Automatic Transmission petrol model.
Dixit said the company has sold more than 3,000 units of the car since its launch a year back.
